With the reduction to its main functions - guiding and warning - the reimagined beacon appears much tidier in complex environments.
As part of the Internet of Things (IoT), the beacon can be controlled remotely and in real time in the future. It is registered in the owner's inventory, networked with other beacons - and reports by itself when its battery charge level is low.
Autonomous driving may soon become our everyday life. But construction sites will remain - and their digital integration is so important for precisely this reason.
